HeartBeat 2022: A Joyful Return

Join Harmony, Hope & Healing on Sunday June 5th, 2022 for HeartBeat and help support our growing music and art program for children living in shelters!

The event will be hosted by WGN-TV Weekend Morning Anchor, Gaynor Hall. We will be honoring Dr. Ankit Bharat and the lung transplant team at Northwestern Hospital.* There will be live music, raffle and Silent Auction prizes from Ravinia Music Festival and much more! 

*Check out this WGN segment featuring Co-Executive Director Amanda Longe-Asque and Dr. Ankit Bharat. Despite taking all precautions, In December of 2020 Amanda contracted COVID and was hospitalized. She went on a ventilator and by January, she was in need of a lung transplant. Northwestern Hospital thoracic surgeon Dr. Ankit Bharat was the first doctor to perform a successful double lung transplant on a COVID patient. After he accepted Amanda as a patient, she waited until May, on a ventilator without being able to talk. Then became the 20th patient to receive a lung transplant! We are so grateful for Dr. Bharat, Dr. Lung and their team. Their pioneering ingenuity was able to give Amanda her voice back.
